This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services operated by Stoken Games LLC, including the Blend mobile application and the stoken.games website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Information You Provide

Spotify account data — When you connect your Spotify account, we request access to your top artists, top tracks, and email address via Spotify's OAuth system. You authorize this access directly through Spotify.
Session data — When you create or join a session, we temporarily store the session ID and participant list to facilitate playlist generation.

Information Collected Automatically

Music taste profiles — We fetch your top artists and tracks from Spotify to generate blended playlists. This data is used only for the active session and is not permanently stored on our servers.
Device information — Basic device identifiers may be stored locally on your device via standard Android storage mechanisms.

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your Spotify password or payment information
We do not store your listening history beyond the active session
We do not collect location data
We do not use advertising tracking or sell your data to third parties
We do not create permanent user accounts or profiles

Waitlist Signup

If you submit your email address via the Blend waitlist form, we collect your email address to notify you when the app launches. We use Formspree to process these submissions. We will not send you marketing emails beyond app launch notifications without your explicit consent.

Contact Form

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content in order to respond to your inquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve our services:

To generate a blended Spotify playlist for your group session
To create playlists on your behalf on Spotify using your authorized access
To identify participants in a session by display name
To send you a single notification when Blend launches (waitlist only)
To respond to your contact form inquiries

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

Spotify

Blend integrates with the Spotify Web API. When you connect your Spotify account, your use of that integration is also governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy. We send your taste profile data to the Claude AI to generate playlist recommendations — this data includes artist names and genre information only, not personally identifiable information.

Anthropic Claude AI

We use the Claude AI API by Anthropic to analyze group music taste and generate playlist recommendations. We send anonymized taste profile data (artist names, genres) to this service. This is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Formspree

We use Formspree to process waitlist and contact form submissions. Your email address and message content are processed by Formspree in accordance with their privacy policy.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

Session data — Blend session data is stored locally on your device and automatically expires after 24 hours. We do not store session data on our servers.
Spotify tokens — Access tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage and are used only to make API calls on your behalf. They expire automatically per Spotify's token expiry policy.
Waitlist emails — Retained until we notify you of the app launch, after which you may request deletion at any time.
Contact form submissions — Retained for up to 12 months for correspondence purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
Opt-out — Unsubscribe from waitlist communications at any time
Spotify revocation — You can revoke Blend's access to your Spotify account at any time via your Spotify account settings

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Spotify access tokens are stored using Android's encrypted secure storage. Session data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers. We use HTTPS for all web communications.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Blend and our website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites and services including Spotify and the Google Play Store. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
